Programs For The Everyday Software Slave
There are some really cool programs for people that are a slave to software. No one really wants to spend all of their time on the computer, but some people have no choice. Most tasks are performed on the PC in the workplace. Even more are performed in the home. PC, Smartphone, and tablet PC users all need software that will help them work in a much more efficient manner.
Everyone knows about the Microsoft Office Suite. There are some common applications like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel that just about everyone uses. What some people may not know is that the suite has been revised. Over the years programs like Microsoft One Note, Visio, InfoPath, and Groove have been added to the suite. These programs are great for drawing flowcharts and organizing notes. They have not been used by everyone but people that have used them do like these new changes.
The world of free and open source programs is really catching on with lots of PC users today. Microsoft Office may be one of the few premium software programs that still holds value to companies and home users. Most people are looking for the free alternative. There is even a free program suite called Open Office. This was developed by Oracle, and it is a suite with alternate programs. There is a comparable program for Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. These are typically used in schools that do not have money for Microsoft Office licenses.
Free programs are increasing in popularity. There are other programs like doPDF that are allowing people to turn any document into a PDF file. It is free and very valuable in the workforce. Other programs like Freemake Video Converter and Divx are also great for playing and converting a variety of video types.
